NICK WEST

Brought up in Dublin and Singapore in the 1980s. Dropped out of many fine educational institutions in the early 1990s. Whilst at London University started to work as a photographer for London Student Magazine photographing the great and good including The Pixies, Echo and the Bunnymen and Ian Mc Kellan. Got a lucky break working as a publicity photographer with the BBC working with all kinds of famous and not so famous characters. Eventually my enlarging ego encouraged me to move into fashion photography where I had more control over the creative output. I photographed fashion stories for D-Side Magazine, Pure and Sleazenation and exhibited work in a group show at the V&A Museum. Then Chloé came along! We formed our duo and somehow charmed the advertising and fashion worlds to keep us busy over the last two decades. Our work has been published in Milk Magazine, Vanity Fair and Vogue our clients include Dior, Diesel, Jaeger-Le-Coultre, BMW and Nike.
Our work has been exhibited at the Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin; The Gallery of Photography inn Dublin and has been recently chosen for the 1316 Studio at the Pompidou Centre.
