SHOWREEL

SLOWSET

DJ! Save the Slowdance! Having met with teenagers in Berlin, a city known for its techno scene and solo dances, we created an ode to the slow dance. This nostalgic work aims to revive the taste for this innocent seduction ritual amid an era of individualism and smartphone-induced behavioral barriers.

SEMESTER

Semester is a project where we set up an anonymous institutional space to stage the interplay between youth. We are not sure if they are captive here or maybe they are sheltering from the wider world. These images are part of the online collection of Le Studio 13/16, Centre Pompidou

THE BERLIN HOUR

Berlin is a city where you lose track of time, a void. During our years there, exploring its wide, empty, underlit streets, we created imaginative stories for various magazines. Inspired by the city’s historical past and our childish reverie, we photographed at DDR’s Funkhaus, Tempelhof Airport, Karl-Marx-Allee.
Work include : La Ligne Rose, Delicate Deliquents, Maison de la Radio, Argentina Allee, Templehof Flughafen.

MONSTER

It’s the mental block, the blank page, the dark place we visit when we flex our creative muscle. In this ongoing project we collaborate with our brave companion creatives who are willing to look for their Monsters and reveal them to us.

FORTUNE COOKIE

A row between a couple in a Chinese Restaurant spied from a city bus by a photographer becomes the starting point for this project. We attempt to recreate this moment of reportage but to re-imagine the moments before and after the lover’s argument.

ARE WE HARD YET?

Set up as battle of wills and skills between the photographers’ (ourselves) and eminant digital artists, Zeitguised. In the first round we dabbled in codes of erotic photography and then tendered these images for the Zeitguised response of 3d adornment or vandalism?

NICK & CHLOÉ

Chloé Claverie and Nick West hail from the suburbs of their respective cities of Paris and Dublin and both came to photography through circuitous routes. Chloé started as an art director, working for brands such as Givenchy and S.T. Dupont with DDB in Paris. Nick launched a self taught photography career in London in 1996. Nick and Chloe’s’ work revolves around youth. Whereas their early work focused on kids and their imaginary tales, more recently they are more concerned with the how we look back on our childhood as “grown-ups”. How much the child inside us is relevant as we search for our identity as we go out into the world. Their work has been shown at the Hamburger Bahnhof and the Temporäre Kunsthalle in Berlin, BETC Magasins Generaux in Paris, The Gallery of Photography in Dublin and The V&A Museum in London and online with Studio 1316 Centre Pompidou, Paris.
